Bone-building therapy for severe osteoporosis.

Duration: About 15 minutes
Schedule: Monthly for 12 months
Schedule Evenity For providers
Conditions

What Evenity treats.

  • Postmenopausal osteoporosis (high fracture risk)
How it works

The mechanism.

Evenity (romosozumab) blocks sclerostin, a protein that normally inhibits bone formation. By inhibiting sclerostin, Evenity increases bone formation while simultaneously reducing bone resorption — a dual mechanism that builds bone faster than most osteoporosis therapies.

What to expect

Your Evenity infusion experience.

Evenity is given as two subcutaneous injections in one visit, once a month for 12 months total. Each visit takes about 15 minutes. After completing 12 months of Evenity, patients typically transition to a maintenance therapy like Prolia or Reclast to preserve gains.

Insurance & cost

Insurance & out-of-pocket cost.

Evenity is covered by most commercial insurance and Medicare Part B when prescribed by your physician for an FDA-approved indication. We verify your benefits before your first infusion and handle prior authorization on your behalf. Most commercially insured patients pay only their standard specialty copay — typically $20–$100 per visit. Manufacturer copay assistance programs may further reduce your cost.
